Room Temperature & Humidity Log – The Health and Safety team has been working hard to improve conditions in our school buildings. We are aware that room temperature continues to be a problem. We have heard from many staff members, as well as some students and parents, regarding temperature. While some rooms are too hot, others are too cold. To help us in our efforts we are asking for your help. We created this Google Sheet, to be used by all Belmont Public Schools staff, for recording room temperature and humidity. By keeping all temperature and humidity data in one place we will be able to see trends and/or inconsistencies. We suggest linking this Temperature & Humidity Recording Sheet to your “Open Daily Folder.” Please look for your school/building tab and your room number or name. If you do not see your name please feel free to add it. Although we understand it may be difficult to record temperature and humidity every day, taking random samples will be helpful. It is especially important to record information when temperatures are extreme. Please remember that all thermometers should be placed on (or near) an inside wall of the classroom for the most accurate readings. If you need a thermometer please reach out to your Health and Safety representative. December 2023
