Negotiations this summer are so far following the pattern we have seen in earlier negotiations, where the majority of the movement is occurring around items that are less consequential. The BEA team made significant movement to address the district’s concerns about the use of vacation time for Unit C, and the district has moved to address our concerns about equitable sick leave benefits for all unit members. The main priority for Unit C, salary, is still an area where we’re far apart.
Thank you to the silent representatives who joined us last Thursday night! Your support is incredibly important, and your presence is impactful. We are meeting again this Thursday, July 24, at 5:00 pm, with a focus on Unit A.
