The 2016 MTA Summer Conference offers both professional and union development opportunities. The conference will take place July 31 through August 4 at UMass Amherst. There are options to mix and match individual workshops or attend a multi-day track. This year, two of our Belmont Colleagues will be presenting:
- Kristin Comment – Queering Gatsby: Bringing LGBTQ Content into your Current Unit
- Nicole Torniero – Mindful Practices for Students and Educators
We have budgeted funds to reimburse members’ dorm and conference fees. There is also a low cost ($245) option to earn two graduate credits for your participation from Fitchburg State.
The MTA Summer Conference Guide contains workshop descriptions and information on how to register. This is a great opportunity to learn and connect with Belmont educators and those from across the state. Please let me know if you would like to join us at Summer Conference.
